Useful Commands - NetApp

Options – lists all options

Date – shows the time and date on the filer

Lun show – shows luns

Snap list <vol name>  - shows list of snapshots

Lun snap usage <vol> <busy snapshot> - provides details of the busy lun shapshots

Snap delete <volume> <snapshot> - command used to delete snapshots

Options autosupport.doit  (message) – this command send out a test message

timezone Europe/London – this will change the time zone. (case sensitive on Europe/London)

version – shows the version on Ontap you are running

sysstat 1 – shows system status every 1 second – you can change the numeral.

Wafl scan status – needs to be run from priv set diag > show the wafl scan on filesystem

Priv set advanced – takes you to the privileged commands

Blink_on  = turns on LED on disks (must be run from priv set advanced)

Disk show –v   = show list of disk and owned/assigned

Date –c initialize   = initialises the Snaplock mirror to current date and time – can only be done once

Cifs –testdc  = shows list of DC’s

Dns info = shows DNS information and DC’s

Fcadmin device_map – shows fibre channel connections and shelfs attached

Options cifs.show_snapshot – allows you to turn the snapshot directory on and off.

Vol options volname fs_size_fixed off – allows to turn off fixed file size on volume.

aggr show_space – shows space allocated to volumes in the aggregate.
